Scotty received a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Purdue University in 2011. Scotty joined Traverse Financial Solutions in 2020 after spending 10 years in the field of civil engineering, where he worked on projects related to flood reduction, dams, and other water resources. He decided to become a financial planner out of a desire to help people on a more personal level, while still applying the analytical and problem-solving skills he learned as an engineer. Scotty helps develop financial plans for clients and recommends products and investments that are suited to them. He also supports the rest of the team and is working to enhance delivery and efficiency of the group's structures and processes. Scotty and his wife, Claire, live in South Elgin, IL. He can be frequently found canoeing the nearby Fox River, volunteering at a local church, and working on his latest home improvement projects.
